Simple to Complex Sentences

Simple to Complex Sentences

Hi readers, today I am going to be sharing with you the sentences we did to practice for our assessments that we are doing in a few days.

What we are doing is writing down a simple sentence that the teacher gave us then adding on to it sort of like what the photo is showing you.

Here is my practice.
Simple to complex sentences

The dog ate insanely.

Two days ago the dog ate Insanely.

Two days ago the dog ate insanely at the house.

Two days ago the dog ate insanely at the house
making a mess.

Two days ago the dog ate insanely at the house
making a mess,
we did this because we are practising for our assessments
we are doing in a few days.

We were changing our simple to complex making sure we had
adjectives in the sentences and adding details.

I hope you enjoyed reading If you have any positive comments or feedback please leave them in the comments. Bye!!

  1. Awesome Shania!

I enjoyed seeing how your simple sentence changed into a very interesting complex sentence! I would like to see you volunteering to share your answers more in class. You have great work out put, and I would like to be able to share that with the others in our class.

My feedback is to have a look as your longer sentences near the end are running off the page!

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
