SLJ: Giants among us.

SLJ: Giants among us.

Hi readers, today is day two for our Summer Learning Journey. For todays activity we need to tell you if we would visit the Tāne Mahuta tree.
Im also going to be telling you 3 facts about it and what type of tree it is.

I would not go visit because its to far away and you will need the gas to go there and back.

  1. Tena Koe Shania,

Thank you for sharing your honest opinion on whether you want to visit the Tāne Mahuta tree or not. I think that is a very realistic reason for why you don't want to be travelling such a long distance!

I personally wouldn't mind driving to Waipoua Forest because I love to go on spontaneous adventures. It would be a great idea to spend a night at a nearby camping site because it would be too much of a job for me to drive back to Auckland on the same day! It takes 3 hours and a half by car one-way.. This means it will take me a total of 7 HOURS to get there and come back!

I like how you have added three facts about Tāne Mahuta at the end of your post. I'm sure anyone who comes across your blog would learn lots of new information about this tree. Ka pai Shania!
