SLJ: Weird and wonderful.

SLJ: Weird and wonderful.

Hi readers, for the next SLJ activity we need to figure out how many ml's to keep a cactus alive in a whole year if you need to give it 3 ml's of water each day. then we need to explain it and how to work it out.

Here is how I worked mine out.

The answer was 1095

Question: Do you have another stratergy?
If you do please leave it in the comments.

I hope you enjoyed and learnt something off this.
if you have a comment or any feedback please leave it in the comments.

  1. Hi Shania,

Great work getting started on the Summer Learning Journey programme! I hope you have fun working through the activities this summer. I'm looking forward to reading your blog posts!

You have solved this maths problem well. Remember to put in the units when you write your answer. Is it in ml?

    I probably would have solved this question using the same strategy you did, however another way to work it out could be to multiply (3 x 300) + (3 x 60) + (3 x 5) = 900 + 180 + 15 = 1095ml.

Is there another way you could do it?

2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
