Partly Cloudy

Partly cloudy

It was a regular sunny day. Majestical birds were flying around the city. I had just dropped off my first delivery, it was a baby girl, her name was Katie. Katie was born in 2016, she is 1 year old. Next up my best friends who are also storks delivered two beautiful kittens, two lovely puppies, more kittens and puppies another baby boy, a baby crocodile, billy goat, and a hedgehog.

After delivering the hedgehog, I went back to my beautiful cloud. He saw the spikes in my head from the hedgehog and pulled them off my head. It really hurt. Then I asked for my next delivery, he held out a shark cloud. I got terrified so I went to a different beautiful, peachy coloured cloud. My other cloud was emotional. He did a thunder and rain cloud. At the peachy cloud I got some armor. Then I went back to the other beautiful cloud again, I got more stuff he gave me an electric eel. the electric ele electrocuted me. “Wow that must of hurt” said the cloud. After that we all had a group hug, then the cute little eel electrocuted me again and again.

Somaila a story of pirates

This week we have been writing about somaila, somila is a place where pirates live here is mine.

                                                     Somaila

At 06:51 me and the rest of my pirate gang  saw a big ship in the distance.  All we have is a kayak and thats not what pirates use, they use humongous ships.  So we kayaked super speedy fast, like the flash, to the ship we saw in the distance. We went in I stole the captions hat and asked him to hand over his key to me .
“NO” he said.
I asked again and he said
“Ok ok”
So he handed me the key, I put it in the key hole and I drove the ship,
mean while the other pirates were getting beat up by fuirous  robots and told them to surrender.  Then a huge robot came into the ship and tapped me on the shoulder, then he stole the hat and the key and gave it back to the real caption.

Duffy Theatre

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….
  • I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.
  • The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
  • Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic.
  • A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.

On Monday we went to the Duffy theater.
Some of the characters where Moana, Duffy, Maleficent and Glowball girl.
They did 2 experiments one with green foam coming out of it and one with clouds.
They also sang 2 types of songs the old one and a new one they made.
When Moana came out she sprayed us with a water bottle she went down the gap in between everybody. After a while Glowball girl gave Duffy a red cape they where teaching us Climate Change and Science.
They told us to take shorter showers, walk to school, turn light off and to save power.

Inferring

WALT: ‘read between the lines’, and look for clues about what the author implies but doesn’t state directly.

We need to find clues to get some answers We need to add those clues to what we already know or have read There can be more than one correct answer We need to be able to support inferences with evidence for this my group and me for reading read a book called 5 dollars.then we had to practis to record it. and then put it on our blog.

The Present

W.A.L.T:  Write a narrative

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….

  • The title is suitable for the text.
  • The orientation tells who the story is about, and when and where the story happened.
  • The complication describes a problem and explains what happened next.
  • The resolution explains how the problem was solved.
  • Seeks feedback and makes changes to texts to improve clarity and meaning.

In Ako Ngatahi we had to write a narrative about a video. It was about a boy opening a present that was a dog with three legs. Here is the video of the present.

On one beautiful sunny day I was playing on my play station a couple minutes later my mum came home with a present for me. So I opend it out came a dog I got the dog out and chucked it because it had a broken arm. I didn't like it but I got used to it the dog saw a red ball ant kept tripping over when he was trying to get the ball when he got it he brung it to me i just kicked it  and he chased it so i thought for a minute maybe he likes me so i grabbed my crutches and the ball and went outside to play with it.

Cyber Smart DLO

On Thursday we went to the high school to listen to John Parsons talking about cyber safety. We learnt quite a lot, like you should never give your full name out. He showed us 2 videos, one about a boy getting teased and one about a girl putting a sign out with her age full name and other info about herself. He showed us the videos so we know not to share our own information online. I feel confident to go on line more often.
